How we process it
- We rebuild observed and substitute days (for example in the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada) and add Japan’s substitute and citizens’ holidays.
- Long weekends for Türkiye and Japan are calculated from the corrected list; the eve of a Turkish bayram counts as a half day.
Known limitations
- Holidays that follow the lunar calendar can move by a day depending on the local moon sighting.
- Governments sometimes add one-off holidays at short notice. Confirm dates locally before booking around them.
